Certate SW 2024

Daiwa's Certate SW 2024 is the latest evolution of the famous Certate SW in the 4000, 5000 and 6000 sizes. As happened last year with the top-end model, the Saltiga, Daiwa presents this new series of three sizes suitable for the use of PE #2 and #3, both from the boat and from the shore. 20 years have passed since the release of the first Certate and the philosophy has never changed! Specifically designed for saltwater fishing, the new CERTATE SW has been further improved compared to the previous model thanks to the use of the exclusive AIRDRIVE DESIGN. This triple technology, which combines Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail and Airdrive Shaft, meets the monocoque body (MQ) made larger to accommodate the Duraluminium G1 drive wheel which is 18% thicker than in the past, improving resistance to stress and reducing wear even under high stress. Improvements are also found in the front unit, where the ZAION rotor has been made larger and thicker, resulting in a rigidity increase of approximately 39% compared to the CERTATE of the same size (vs. LT5000). In terms of waterproof performance, it has been strengthened compared to the previous model, in fact, the waterproof seal of the handle attachment has been improved. A synergistic effect with the Magsealed in the pinion section has achieved a high level of waterproof performance. The new Certate SW 2024 is perfect for medium and medium/heavy techniques such as Inshore and Offshore Spinning, Shore Jigging, Jigging, Light Jigging and Super Light Jigging.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN
A new generation spinning reel design concept enables perfect lure control. The Airdrive Design comprises up to four technologies (three for the new Certate SW 2024). The prerequisite is the installation of the Airdrive Rotor which produces a light retrieve and a high-response rotation, the light and trouble-free Airdrive Bail and the Airdrive Shaft which minimizes internal noise even under pressure. The synergistic effect of these technologies and the improved weight balance of the spool ensure top-level performance.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR (made of ZAION)
The new rotor is machined from a new shape that appears to be cut from a sphere and, by completely removing unnecessary material, a significant weight reduction has been achieved while maintaining rigidity. The lightness of the reel has been significantly improved, which leads to better handling and sensitivity. The new ZAION AIRDRIVE ROTOR has been developed exclusively for the new Certate SW 2024 model.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT
This system uses a non-contact structure between the main shaft and the pinion gear; a linear shaft that eliminates friction and supports both ends of the pinion with bottom brackets, maximizing power and minimizing rotation noise.

AIRDRIVE BAIL
The new one-piece bail of the Certate SW has a reduced diameter that allows to limit its weight while maintaining great resistance and solidity. A new inclination angle has also been studied to further optimize the sliding of the line inside the line roller, also redesigned to maximize smoothness. The 4000 and 5000 size have a diameter of 2.4mm, while the 6000 has a diameter of 3.0mm.
