Evergreen's Clap Buzzer is a special Bass Fishing softbait! Instead of having the classic Shad type tail, this one has a particular tail that folds down, similar to a Grub type lure. What characterizes the new Clap Buzzer is its particular tail, which is flat and thin, and extends in the same direction as the body. The body and tail move indistinctly; in fact, the movement of the tail is not transmitted from the body, so the body swims straight while the tail does not move, if slow retrieves are made, and suddenly starts moving when the retrieve speed is increased. When you stop the retrieve, the tail instantly stops. Thanks to these characteristics it's possible to stimulate the predatory instinct of the big Bass, diversifying the type of retrieve with dynamic and static movement intervals. In this way the types of recovery can be varied: just retrieved, with a static movement of both the body of the tail; stop-and-go, with a static movement of the body and dynamic of the tail and, when the retrieve stops, it sinks slowly with a static posture, to give the Bass a break; jerked retrieved, with mixed static/dynamic movement, jerked and stopped, plus a quick rewind of 2-3 times; bottom jek, with retrieves interspersed with repeated sprints and pauses. These 4 types of retrieves can be performed with a simple No Sinker rigged with an offset hook #6/0 which can be slightly weighed down with a Nail Sinker or with a small sinker on the hook. If, on the other hand, you want to perform a Texas Rig or Down Shot rig without a leader, you can perform the following retrieves: slow and fast regular retrieve, small jerks on the bottom or retrieves with pauses in the covers. The Clap Buzzer is a bait that, apparently, seems simple, but which, in reality, allows a truly unique fishing approach!
