Engetsu BB

Shimano's Engetsu BB is a Tai Rubber rod with a special X-SEAT reel seat! The famous Engetsu BB has been further improved compared to the previous version, increasing the performance of lightness, sensitivity and comfort in use. It features a blank produced with High Power X technology which eliminates oscillations and power loss, while the tip is made of solid carbon Taftec α, very resistant and sensitive. Along the rod it's equipped with spirally mounted Fuji SiC guides which facilitate uniform winding and reduce line problems. These work in synergy with the X-SEAT reel seat, inherited from higher-end models, with a design that adapts to both the left and right hand, stabilizing the hand and reducing wrist strain. In this way the wrist remains straight, making it more comfortable even in long fishing sessions. This also facilitates retrieve, making it more stable and effortless, eliminating oscillations. Furthermore, even when shoeing prey and fighting, the handle makes it easier to grip.
