Katsumo Suisan 175

Hayashi's Katsumo Suisan 175 is a top of the range rod for boat vertical octopus fishing. Hayashi is a Japanese brand specializing in the design and manufacture of fishing tackle for cephalopod fishing. This model is the first that Hayashi has studied and produced for vertical octopus fishing from the boat, and can be used by anyone, both by those approaching this technique for the first time, and by the most experienced. The blank is extremely sensitive and powerful, so that it can be used at any depth and with sustained currents. The guides are Fuji SiC-S with stainless steel frame for maximum lightness and strength. The reel seat is a Fuji with black EVA split handle. Aesthetically it is very particular: the white stem presents, in the initial part, drawings with the octopus tentacles and the Japanese writing "活蛸水産" in gold and black. Can only be used with saltwater baitcasting reels.
