Oceanus

Evergreen’s Oceanus is a bait reel with a compact body. It’s been mainly though for Slow Jigging, but it finds its use also in Vertical Jigging and Inchiku. The frame and the envelope are in aluminum forced in high resistance and rigidity and the inner gears are in stainless steel. Once of the most innovative features is the “Line Guard” to avoid the knot and break the wire. This system avoids the side output of the line spool, avoiding improper rubbing on the inner frame and on the spool, furthermore a return mechanism approaches the line even in the reversal of the reel race, such a system avoids dangerous cast when the line is not live and greatly contributes to a uniform wire retrieve. The bearings are oblique, besides the bearing for normal function, this choice is made because the angular contact bearings best match the axial thrust in the spool charge, reducing the weight in the winding when we are dragging important prey. Another detail to not underestimate is the grip of the handle, slightly inclined inside to increase the hold, and is also equipped with a non-slip material with high grip. Always in the handle it is noticed the detail that joins it to the small shaft of the reel, where a flared, very polished and unplumbed fitting allows our fingers to operate without risk of cuts in difficult retrieves. It should also be noted that the handle can be adjusted with a simple fixing ring from a minimum of 75mm to a maximum of 88mm. Very nice and convenient to reach is also the knurled drag ring with which to adjust the power in retrieve, however, equipped with a tongue that can be operated easily with both the left and right hand. Also note the lock button, well positioned and easily accessible. Finally, we remind you that this jewel is also equipped with a dedicated case, applicable even if the reel is mounted in the rod.
