Evergreen’s Oceanus Wide is the newest version of large line spool from one of the best reel for Slow Pitch on the market! It has the same characteristics of its young brother with diffrences reguarding its drag lever which is thinner and a line spool large 28mm, ideal for thicker threads setting or more meters of its thin wire. In fact, it turns out to be perfect for those who are dedicated to fishing on high depths, especially with the "Long Fall Jerking" technique, then with long pipes, medium heavy jigs and sustained depth. Obviously, with the Oceanus Wide you can practice other techniques such as Vertical Jigging and Inchiku. One of the most innovative features is the “Line Guard”, in order to avoid the knot and break the wire. This system avoids the side output of the line spool, avoiding any possible improper rubbing on the inner frame and on the spool, furthermore a return mechanism approaches the line even in the reversal of the reel race, such a system avoids dangerous cast when the line is not under tension and it greatly contributes to a uniform wire retrieve. The bearings are oblique, besides the bearing for normal function, this choice is made because the angular contact bearings best match the axial thrust in the spool charge, reducing the weight in the winding when we are dragging important prey. Another detail to not underestimate is the handle grip, slightly inclined inside to increase the hold, and it is also equipped with a non-slip material with high grip.
