Saltiga 2023

Daiwa's Saltiga 2023 is the new series of Saltiga reels that includes the sizes 4000, 5000 and 6000! Finally Daiwa presents its top of the range saltwater spinning reel even in the smallest sizes, going to cover all those medium and medium/heavy techniques such as Inshore and Offshore Spinning, Shore Jigging, Jigging, Light Jigging and Super Light jigging. "MQ" meets "AIRDRIVE DESIGN": this means that the monocoque body meets Daiwa's latest technologies concerning the redesign and improvement of the 3 fundamental elements of the reel: rotor, bail and main shaft. In fact, the new Saltiga 2023 features a durable large diameter G1 duralumin MC (Machine Cut) digital gear inside an all-metal monocoque body (made of AL), which achieves exceptional power and resistance. All this has made it possible to make a big leap forward compared to previous reels of the same size. The new Saltiga 2023 in sizes 4000, 5000 and 6000 is the ideal choice for all those who demand only the best from a reel for saltwater fishing!

AIRDRIVE ROTOR (made in AL)
A new aluminum rotor, completely redesigned to offer exceptional smoothness: the new design makes it possible to reduce the weight of the rotor and further lower the degree of inertia in the rotation.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT
A redesigned system that guarantees the complete absence of contact between the main shaft and the pinion. The latter is now supported at the ends by ball bearings for an even more efficient power transfer to the rotor and, in addition, it has been possible to significantly reduce the noise during rotation.

AIRDRIVE BAIL
The new one-piece bail of the Saltiga has a reduced diameter which allows to limit its weight while maintaining great resistance and solidity. A new inclination angle has also been studied to further optimize the sliding of the line inside the line guide roller, which has also been redesigned to maximize smoothness. Size 4000 and 5000 have a diameter of 2.4mm, while the 6000 has a diameter of 3.0mm. In addition, great attention has been paid to the opening and closing of the bail, so that it opens tightly when open and closes tightly when closed.
