Saltist MQ

Daiwa's Saltist MQ represents the new "Monocoque" model of the Saltist family. This new model has been specially designed for all medium and medium/heavy saltwater techniques, both from the shore and from the boat. It probably represents the best combination of Daiwa technologies to fight corrosion when dealing with marine environments! The body is made of monobloc aluminum (Monocoque) and uses the patented technology of the Japanese house to bring advantages in terms of rigidity and waterproofing, but not only that, thanks to this device they have managed to insert inside the oversized Tough Digigear gears in aluminum and machined from solid, obtaining greater power, fluidity and smoothness. It's recommended for all Inshore and Offshore fishing to marine predators such as Learfish, Bluefish, Red Tuna, etc...

- Monocoque Body (MQ): A one-piece frame eliminates the use of the traditional two-piece body and side plate construction. A one-piece body uses a screwed gear plate to house the main gear, reducing flexibility and twisting under load by creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate also allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes reels stronger and more sealed, but also more compact;
- Zaion Air Rotor: Zaion rotor that guarantees lightness and power;
- Air Bail: extremely robust one-piece bail;
- ABS Long Cast Spool: aluminum spool that allows extremely long casts;
- ATD Drag: Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved clutch grease that exhibits low viscosity at rest, but becomes more viscous soon after clutch operation. This reduces the initial inertia when starting the resistance and, combined with the structural changes of the ATD drag system, a smoother drag is achieved;
- Tough Digigear gears: oversized aluminum gears machined from solid;
- ARK knob: rounded aluminum knob for a secure grip;
- Magsealed bearings;
- Twist Buster II line roller.
