Shimano's SpeedMaster LD II is one of the latest trolling news! It's a very versatile reel and, thanks to its compact body, it can be used with many types of trolling and stand-up rods. The double speed gear is very useful: when the line has to be retrieved quickly, you can use the fast retrieve ratio at 5.7:1 which recovers 107cm per crank rotation. When a big fish is caught and it is necessary to have more power, so it's possible to use the slower retrieve ratio at 3.1:1 which allows to recover 58cm per crank of reel.
