Twin Power FD

Shimano's Twin Power FD represents the new model for 2020 of this reel series. After 30 years of history from its birth this new model incorporates the Shimano philosophy of the last few years and is equipped with a metal rotor that suppresses the twist. Combining with the Hagane body, it generates a feeling of safety and a long life. In addition, the rigid metal rotor creates a stable winding sensation reminiscent of that of the Stella FJ and also allows for regular winding. Not only that, the casting performance has been improved by adopting a new higher spool with AR-C system.

- Metal rotor: same metal rotor as the Stella FJ (Mg / Al);
- MicroModule II: reduced noise and extremely regular winding;
- X-Protect: increases durability thanks to waterproof protection from water and dirt;
- Long Stroke spool: longer casting distance (+ 5%);
- Silent Drive: more fluid and silent winding;
- Hagane body: increases the stiffness and strength of the body;
- Hagane gears: more robust gears;
- Drag washers: from size 1000 to 2500 are in felt, from 3000 to 5000 are in carbon.
