Vanford FA

Shimano's Vanford FA is the new version of the famous Vanford, one of the lightest and smoothest reels from Shimano! Perfect for a wide range of medium and medium light techniques, the Vanford is part of the Magnumlite series and pushes the boundaries of Shimano technology and engineering, offering impeccable accuracy, with the inertia required to set it in motion being almost imperceptible. What most distinguishes the new Vanford FA is the combination of sensitivity and lightness that lead to control, for a better feeling when fishing. All this combined with a high quality spinning rod, you will achieve perfect balance and a consequent improvement of the approach to fishing and increased enjoyment. The sensitivity of the Vanford is the result of the MGL rotor, which together with the body is designed with the exclusive Ci4+ composite material. This is also the reason why the reel feels so light in the hand. Internally, the HAGANE Gear, MicroModule II, X-SHIP and Silent Drive work together seamlessly to deliver smoothness and an impressive amount of power. The Vanford also features the advanced Duracross drag system, which provides exceptional and precise control when playing hard fighting fish. For trouble-free line management, the Anti-Twist Fin controls the pressure on the line as it passes through the line roller onto the spool and is particularly useful when fishing with very light lures.

INFINITY XROSS
It's an advanced transmission technology that uses gears with wider teeth. The larger surface area distributes pressure more evenly across the entire face of the teeth when they meet during rotation. Compared to traditional gears, INFINITYXROSS increases service life by 100% without affecting fluidity. Advantages: INFINITYXROSS offers longer life, especially in extreme pressure conditions, resulting in an increase in reel life. This allows the reel to work at its maximum performance for longer and without loss of power.

INFINITY DRIVE
It's the evolution of the conventional X-SHIP, made even more powerful. Winding resistance has been significantly reduced by supporting the main shaft, which was previously supported by a pinion, with a special low-friction bushing. In addition, by applying a special surface treatment and special machining to the main shaft itself, the rotation torque is significantly reduced.
Advantages: Thanks to the INFINITY DRIVE it will be possible to recover in a much more fluid and precise way even under high pressure.

ANTI-TWIST FIN
It's a removable elastic fin (to be removed only if you use lines greater than 0.47mm or with big knots), placed on the rotor next to the line guide. It's designed to create the perfect tension between the line and the spool and ensure better line management efficiency, especially when using the soft and thin braid.
Advantages: The ANTI-TWIST FIN is particularly useful for those who fish with thin diameters or very soft lines and braids. If the line between the reel and the lure loosens when retrieve is stopped, or immediately after casting, the ANTI-TWIST FIN prevents the line from coming out of the line guide, avoiding any problems whatsoever.

DURACROSS DRAG
It's an advanced drag construction that combines the best features of felt washers with the longer life of crossed carbon washers.
Advantages: DURACROSS DRAG is a fantastic combination of fluidity and durability. Provides enough starting power for effective shoeing, and smoothness and durability for a better fighting fishing experience.
